CartPay may collect limited technical and licensing information needed to operate the plugin, such as site URL, license status, plugin settings, and basic diagnostic data.

2. How We Use Information

We use this information to validate licenses, enable plugin features, provide support, improve reliability, and protect the service from misuse.

3. WooCommerce Store Data

CartPay runs inside your WordPress and WooCommerce website. Customer data, orders, and store information remain under the merchant’s control unless a specific hosted feature requires limited processing.

The plugin may interact with services such as BTCPay Server, WordPress, WooCommerce, hosting providers, APIs, or email systems. These services may have their own privacy policies.

6. Data Sharing

We do not sell merchant data. Information may only be shared where required for service functionality, support, security, fraud prevention, or legal compliance.

7. Security

We use reasonable security measures to protect information. However, no online system can guarantee complete security.

8. Data Retention

We retain information only for as long as needed to provide the service, support merchants, prevent abuse, and meet legal or business obligations.

9. Merchant Responsibility

Merchants are responsible for their own store privacy policy and for complying with applicable privacy laws such as GDPR, where relevant.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Continued use of the plugin means you accept the updated policy.
